Admission criteria for EU, EAA and SC citizens

 

The criteria for the entrance exam for undergraduate university studies are established by each faculty individually and can be consulted by accessing Annex 1.1a and Annex 1.1c.

EU, EEA and SC citizens can access seats with payment of the tuition fee in a foreign currency (euro) and without taking the entrance exam only for the study programme Medicine - English, where the final admission average is calculated as 100% of the Baccalaureate/High School Exam average.

 

Admission criteria for NON-EU citizens:

 

  • Graduation from an accredited high school in the country of origin and recognized by the Ministry of Education. The list of secondary school diplomas recognised by the Ministry of Education can be checked by accessing the attached file: Lista diplomelor recunoscute de ME.
  • Baccalaureate and Bachelor's diplomas will be authenticated, as appropriate, or will be accompanied by an authenticity certificate issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin; the authentication will be applied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and the Romanian Embassy/Consular Office in that country or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and its Embassy/Consular Office in Romania and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; for countries where there are no diplomatic missions of Romania or which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents will be endorsed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country. The list of countries for which the apostille or authentication is required can be checked at the following address: https://cnred.edu.ro/lista-statelor-pentru-care-se-solicita-apostilarea-sau-supralegalizarea/. Exemption from superlegalization is permitted under the law, an international treaty to which Romania is a party, or on the basis of reciprocity.
  • Proof of Romanian language competence (certificate of completion of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate, minimum level B1).
  • Passing the eliminatory test for those faculties with specific requirements such as: Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology and Faculty of Fine Arts.
  • The admission exam consists of a file-based selection process, with the admission grade being 100% based on the high school graduation exam average, except for faculties where eliminatory tests are required, in which case candidates must obtain a "Pass" qualification.

 

Admission criteria for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy

 

Admission criteria for the study programmes taught in Romanian:

  • Proof of Romanian language competence (certificate of completion of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate, minimum level B1).
  • The final admission average is 100% the baccalaureate exam average.
  • For candidates with educational documents issued in countries where the baccalaureate/equivalent examination average is not awarded, the overall average of the secondary school years will be taken into consideration instead of the baccalaureate average.

In the case where two candidates have the same grade in the baccalaureate exam, the tie-breaker will be based on the subjects of biology and/or chemistry from the high school curriculum.

For the study programs Medicine, Dental Medicine, General Nursing, Midwifery, and Dental Technology:

  • the arithmetic average of the grades in the subject of biology or chemistry will be taken into consideration;
  • in the case where both biology and chemistry are included in the curriculum, the arithmetic average of the grades in biology will be considered first, followed by the arithmetic average of the grades in chemistry.

For the study program Pharmacy:

  • the arithmetic average of the grades in the subject of biology or chemistry will be taken into consideration;
  • in the case where both biology and chemistry are included in the curriculum, the arithmetic average of the grades in chemistry will be considered first, followed by the arithmetic average of the grades in biology.

 

Admission criteria for Medicine in English:

  • Proof of English language proficiency (candidates must present an international language proficiency certificate at a minimum B1 level or a language proficiency certificate obtained from the Modern Languages Center at DJUG, no older than 2 years).
  • Candidates who do not have an English language certificate or whose certificate is older than 2 years can take a test, for a fee, at the Modern Languages Center. The contact person is Mrs. Assoc. Details regarding the test date will be communicated via email to the candidates by the examiner. Candidates are advised to register for the English language test at least 3 days before the registration period ends.
  • Citizens who have completed their high school studies in an educational institution where the language of instruction is English, or who have obtained at least a B1 level in the baccalaureate exam, are exempt from presenting a language proficiency certificate, as well as citizens from the following countries where the official language is English: South Africa, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Dominica, Fiji, Philippines, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Falkland Islands, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Malaysia, Malta, United Kingdom, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, United States of America, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
  • The final admission average is 100% the baccalaureate exam average.
  • For candidates with educational documents issued in countries where the baccalaureate/equivalent examination average is not awarded, the overall average of the secondary school years will be taken into consideration instead of the baccalaureate average.

If two candidates have the same grade in the baccalaureate examination and they compete for the last seat for the same study programme, the following will be taken into consideration:

  • the arithmetic mean of the grades in biology or chemistry will be taken into account;
  • if there are both biology and chemistry subjects in the curriculum, the arithmetic mean of the biology grades will be taken into consideration initially, and the arithmetic mean of the chemistry grades will be taken subsequently.

Phase II: The final admission average is calculated from:
  • 50% of the Baccalaureate exam average;
  • 50% of the score in the specific motor skills test.
The specific motor skills test is considered passed and will be included in the final average calculation if the candidate scores at least 5.00 as the average of the two tests, namely: a 50-meter speed run with a standing start and a standing long jump (motor performance will be converted into grades).

  • 50% from the grade obtained in the interview on topics from the Holy Scripture and Orthodox Dogmatic Theology.
The interview, graded, will assess the basic knowledge on topics from the Holy Scripture and Orthodox Dogmatic Theology (based on a syllabus established by the faculty).
Visual arts Sacred Art 3 years Phase I: Eliminatory phase: Motivational interview, graded as ACCEPTED/REJECTED, which will assess social-human skills and a personal portfolio consisting of 3 pencil drawings and 2 color compositions, created prior to the test.

Phase II: The final admission average is calculated as follows:
  • 40% from the baccalaureate exam average;
  • 60% from the average obtained in the practical tests.

The two practical tests
, each of which will be evaluated with a grade, are held in the classroom and consist of:
P1) making a drawing from a static nature;
  • Execution technique: pencil or charcoal.
  • The work will be done on white drawing paper, A3 format.
  • Working time: 2 hours
P2) the reproduction of an icon according to a given model.
  • Technique: tempera, acrylic or pigment.
  • The work will be done on white drawing paper, A3 format.
  • Working time: 2 hours

  • 30% from the multiannual high school average.

For the Business Administration programme (in English), the application file will additionally contain one of the following documents:
  • language proficiency certificate, minimum level B1;
  • certificate of linguistic competence obtained from the Modern Languages ​​Center within DJUG, no older than 2 years.
Candidates who have completed high school in an educational institution where the language of instruction is English, or who have obtained at least a B1 grade in the baccalaureate exam (in reading and comprehension), are exempt from presenting a language proficiency certificate.

A correct question is equivalent to 1 point. The maximum score is 50 points, equivalent to a grade of 7. The score awarded ex officio is equivalent to a grade of 3. Grid test score = 3 + 7x(grid score)/50.
Dental Medicine 6 years The final admission average is calculated as follows:
  • 100% grade on the test.
Multiple choice test, 100 questions, in 3 hours, from the following subjects:
  • Biologie (cls. a XI-a) - 60 questions
  • Chimie organică - 40 questions.

  • 100% of the high school graduation exam (Baccalaureate) average.
The competition file will additionally contain one of the following documents:
  • certificate of language proficiency at minimum level B1;
  • certificate of linguistic competence obtained from the Modern Languages ​​Center within DJUG, no older than 2 years. 
Citizens who have completed high school in an educational institution where the language of instruction is English, or who have obtained at least a B1 grade in the baccalaureate exam, are exempt from presenting a language proficiency certificate.

  • The grade obtained in the multiple-choice test;

14. FINE ARTS Theater and performing arts Performing arts (acting) 4 years Phase I – eliminatory, is marked with ADMITTED/REJECTED.
  • Presentation of some lyrics and a story from the candidate's repertoire, testing motor, rhythmic and musical qualities - practically.
Phase II - provided with a grade:
  • Presentation, at the committee's choice, of monologues from classical and/or contemporary dramaturgy from the candidate's repertoire – practical.
The final admission grade is the grade obtained in Phase II.
Music Musical performance - canto 4 years Phase I – eliminatory, is marked with ADMITTED/REJECTED.
The candidate will provide the committee with an audio-video recording containing the following:
  1. presentation that includes an argumentation of the candidate's motivation in choosing the specialization and other relevant data about the candidate (specialized high school graduate, participation in competitions in the field and other arguments that can justify experience in the field);
  2. Interpretation of two representative musical works for the candidate, with or without accompaniment;
  3. Presentation of a solfeggio with a maximum of two alterations to the key.
   Total video length: min. 6-8 minutes Phase II - provided with a grade:
The candidate will provide the committee with an audio-video recording containing the performance of two musical works, other than those chosen for the first test.
   Total video length: min. 2-4 minutes

The candidate undertakes, through a declaration on his own responsibility, that he will make available to the committee his own audio-video materials, not edited in specialized programs or software.
The audio-video materials will be sent online to the competition committee, at the addresses that will be made available to candidates at the time of registration.

The final admission grade is the grade obtained in Phase II.
Visual arts Plastic arts (painting) 3 years Phase I: DRAWING (eliminatory, evaluated with ADMITTED/REJECTED).
  • Subject: static nature;
  • Work support: 50x70 cm hammer or semi-hammer paper sheet;
  • Working technique: graphite, charcoal, sepia or sanguine;
  • Working time: 6 hours.
Phase II consists of two tests:
Test 1 - PAINTING, provided with grade.
  • Subject: static nature;
  • Work medium, of your choice: watercolor paper (300 gr), cardboard, canvas on frame or canvas cardboard 50x70 cm;
  • Working technique: watercolors, tempera, gouache, pastel or colored pencils (for paper or cardboard supports); acrylic or oil (for canvas cardboard or canvas stretched on a frame).
  • Working time: 6 hours.
Test 2 - INTERVIEW, provided with a grade:
At the interview, the candidate will present to the examination committee a portfolio containing at least 5 drawing studies and at least 5 color studies.

The final admission grade is the arithmetic average of the 2 Phase II tests.
